The present invention relates to a composition containing luteolin as an active ingredient, and more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition containing luteolin as an active ingredient for preventing or treating choriocarcinoma, and a health functional food composition containing luteolin as an active ingredient for preventing or alleviating choriocarcinoma. According to the present invention, the composition containing luteolin as an active ingredient is extracted from a plant, thereby minimizing toxicity in a body and side effects compared to chemical compound, inhibiting proliferation and migration in choriocarcinoma cells, and dose-dependently increasing the number of death cells in choriocarcinoma cells.
