To implement the method of individual selection of oral hygiene products from a patient, oral fluid is taken, the teeth are mechanically cleaned without using oral hygiene products, the hydrophobicity of the enamel of the patient’s teeth is determined by the “sitting drop” method; from the bank of teeth removed for medical reasons, the teeth are picked up, the hydrophobicity of the enamel of which corresponds to the hydrophobicity of the enamel of the patient’s teeth, teeth intended to examine oral hygiene products are cleaned with a medium hardness toothbrush using an appropriate hygiene product under study, as a control, a tooth that is not cleaned by means of oral hygiene is used, the teeth are immersed in the patient' s oral fluid and thermostatic at a temperature of 37?°C, with the study interval of 1 hour, the time of occurrence of dental plaque on the teeth is determined and the hydrophobicity of tooth enamel is measured using the “sitting drop” method, the effectiveness of oral hygiene is assessed by the time of appearance of the dental plaque and the value of the enamel' s hydrophobicity compared to control.
