Kit for use for implanting a dental implant contains an implant guide, a template and a locking element. Implant guide comprises a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal end is adapted to be detachable attachment to the dental implant. Implant guide comprises a cylindrical body comprising a cylindrical outer surface and an annular groove in the outer surface. Template is made with the possibility of location at a given location relative to the jaw. Template contains at least one implantation channel for guiding the cylindrical body of the implant guide in a given direction of implantation during implantation of a dental implant in the jaw, and a locking surface at the end of the implantation channel. Locking element contains bias means in the form of springs. Locking element contains the first part and the second part, made with the possibility of movement between the first state, in which the first part and the second part are separated from each other by the first distance, and a second state in which the first part and the second part are separated from each other by a second distance, the first distance being less than the second distance, and the first and second parts are shifted to the first state, and the second distance is the same or greater than the distance between the diametrically opposite sides of the outer surface of the implant guide. In the second state before implantation, the first part and the second part can be located on diametrically opposite sides of the outer surface, while moving in the direction of implantation of a dental implant in the jaw, the locking surface of the implantation channel pushes the locking element to the groove until the groove allows the first and second parts to move to the first state and the locking element falls into the groove, thereby blocking further movement of the implant guide in the direction of implantation.
