FIELD : chemistry.SUBSTANCE : invention relates to the chemistry and technology of high-molecular compounds, namely to polymeric cryogels and their preparation with the aim of using the formed materials in medicine, cosmetology and technology. Polymer composition for the preparation of a polyvinyl alcohol cryogel includes polyvinyl alcohol, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and a low molecular weight additive, as used in which are soluble in DMSO chaotropic substances or their mixtures.
