PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a skin external preparation for inhibiting epidermal thickening that can inhibit epidermal thickening caused by ultraviolet exposure. SOLUTION : The present invention provides a skin external preparation for inhibiting epidermal thickening that can inhibit epidermal thickening caused by ultraviolet exposure, by containing apple fruit extract. Here, the apple fruit extract is preferably immature apple fruit extract. The active ingredient content is preferably 0.0005-1 mass% relative to the total composition amount.
