PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an indole derivative exhibiting an NF-κB class II suppression action, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION : An indole derivative is a derivative composed of 3-indole ethanol, gluconic acid and adipic acid. The production method is made of a process where the fruit of jujuba and a fermentation liquid obtained by adding Bacillus natto made of Natto Hompo to soybean powder are fermented with Monascus fungus. The obtained indole derivative shows an excellent effect of suppressing NF-κB class II, and suppresses inflammation and cancer. This is applied to cosmetics, food preparations and medicines. In the cosmetics, the NF-κB class II of skin cells is reduced, and it is effective for the control of wrinkles. Further, it guards plants from fungus and virus, and is utilized as a plant controller suppressing inflammation or a plant activator.SELECTED DRAWING : None
