PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide liquid, dry powder and metered-dose formulations for therapeutic inhaled delivery of phenylaminopyrimidine derivative compositions such as imatinib and other kinase inhibitor compounds to desired anatomical sites, for treatment and/or prophylaxis of a variety of pulmonary, neurologic, cardiovascular and solid organ disease conditions. SOLUTION : An aqueous solution for nebulized inhalation administration comprises : water; imatinib or a salt thereof, a phenylaminopyrimidine derivative or a salt thereof, or another tyrosine kinase inhibitor or a salt thereof, at a concentration from about 0.001 mg/mL to about 200 mg/mL; where the osmolality of the aqueous solution is from about 50 mOsmol/kg to about 2000 mOsmol/kg.
