The present invention relates to : a polymer matrix in which a polyvinyl alcohol moiety and a chitosan moiety is crosslinked; a manufacturing method thereof; and a medical application thereof. Constituent components of the present invention are composed of the polyvinyl alcohol moiety securing stability on the human body and the chitosan moiety having excellent expansibility and biocompatibility. The polymer matrix according to the present invention is expected to be used as a hemostatic material having excellent safety and biocompatibility, since it is possible to self-expand into four times or more by conducting a reaction with body fluids containing water such as blood and the like.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
