A method for enhancing physical and chemical properties of dental glass ceramic. Li-containing dental glass ceramic and divalent metal molten salt with high characteristic temperature are designed, ion exchange is promoted by high temperature, and accordingly univalent ions can be replaced with divalent ions with larger ion radiuses. Since the positions of the univalent ions (such as K+ and Li+) are occupied by the divalent ions (such as Ca2+, Sr2+, and Ba2+) with larger radiuses, compressive stress is formed on a glass surface in a subsequent cooling process, and the physical and chemical properties of the glass ceramic are thus enhanced.
