The present invention relates to a Lactobacillus plantarum KJM2-5 strain or a feed composition of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larvae containing the same. The strain has an effect of inhibiting pathogenic microorganisms and promoting the growth of edible insects, thereby having an effect of controlling insect diseases and being useful for promoting growth of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larvae.
