The invention relates to an antimicrobial coating composition for coating articles comprising : an antimicrobial pep tide and a nanoparticle bound to said antimicrobial peptide; wherein the composition is suitable to be bonded to the surface of the article. The said composition could be used as coating composition of medical devices and laboratory surfaces.
