Auxiliary material is made with possibility of interfacing with at least one of the cut end effector. Staple cartridge assembly for use with a surgical stapling instrument comprises a cartridge body and an auxiliary material. Cartridge body has multiple staples arranged therein. Auxiliary material can be coupled with the cartridge and can be attached to the tissue by means of staples in the cassette. Auxiliary material has a hydrophobic surface area and an opposite hydrophilic surface area.
