The present invention relates to a novel alizarin alkoxide derivative, a method for manufacturing the same, and a pharmaceutical composition for treating cancer comprising the same. According to the present invention, it is possible to produce various anthraquinone derivatives using a recombinant microorganism into which a gene coding for a glycosyltransferase and a methyltransferase is introduced. In addition, since the novel alizarin alkoxide derivative of the present invention or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof has an anticancer activity, thereby being able to be usefully used in a field of medicine.
