Herbal emulsified gel composition consist Terminalia arjuna bark extract, carbopol, TA oil, tween 80, PEG 400, ethanol, methyl paraben, glutaraldehyde, triethanolamine and & w/w water. The study demonstrate that the herbal based emulsified gel can be employed to enhance topical delivery and to allow for controlled transdermal release. Emulsified gel prepared by emulsion into hydrogel, showed maximum and significant release by in vitro and ex vivo studies. Result of the stability study showed significant stability upon storage for 3 months that no change was observed in their physic-chemical properties. Hence, it could be employed to improve topical delivery and allow for controlled transdermal release.
