Method involves dissection of a long extensor contracture of a hand from the base of a second metacarpal bone and an elongation of a tendon of a short radius extensor. Corrective osteotomy of 2–4 metacarpal bones is performed on two levels : closed-angle extensor osteotomy under metacarpal heads and open-angular flexion osteotomy at base of metacarpal bones.EFFECT : method provides improved anatomy and hand function ensured by simultaneous elimination of extensor contracture of the wrist joint and flexion contractures of metacarpal joints.1 cl, 8 dwg, 1 ex
