[Also in Division G2] A system for selecting the standardized texts from a box containing the texts, comprises marking the texts with symbols and providing a guide manual which has marked out in a grid system the corresponding symbols so that when a certain transaction takes place the texts for the documents are found by looking up the titles in the guide manual, finding the symbols on the grid system and taking the texts with these symbols from the box. As shown, the standard texts are provided on rectangular transparent plates 2 which have an identifying symbol on the right hand side, the range of symbols being marked on panel 1a of the box 1 in which the texts are stored. To select the correct texts for a desired transaction a guide manual 3 (see Fig. 4) for an estate agent has titles setting out the purchaser in the left hand side and titles setting out the transaction on the top and a grid system marked with symbols corresponding to those in the text. Thus for any transaction, the appropriate titles are looked up and the desired symbols obtained from the grid. Subsequent pages of the manual show different sales and transactions. The texts corresponding to these symbols are selected from the box and inserted in a copy-holder 4 (see Fig. 5) comprising four L-shaped members 5, the texts being held in position by movable transverse parallel bars 6 and 7. The texts to be copied are those between the two pointers 10 mounted on movable bar 10a. Alternatively the copy holder may be a rectangular board with pegs mounted down one of the longer sides, the texts having corresponding holes.
