The V-section secondary sealing ring may also be made of P.T.F.E. to ensure a universal joint action of the sealing washer 25. The stationary member 22 of the seal is clamped between plates 18a, 20 provided with passages 19, 20 for supplying cooling or pressure fluid to the sealing washer 25.
