The invention relates to a seat arrangement for an estate car with at least one front seat (1) and a rear seat (2), the backrest (6) of which has lateral mounts in the region of its top edge and further attachment means in the region of its lower edge. In order to be able to convert the seat arrangement into a reclining facility in a simple manner, the further attachment means (7 to 12) are of releasable design and receiving elements (14), allocated to the mounts, are provided in front of the rear seat (2). Furthermore, the front seat (1) has a support surface (15) for the lower edge of the backrest (6) when the latter is hooked by its mounts into the receiving elements (14) and together with the seat part (4) of the rear seat (2) forms a reclining surface.
