PURPOSE : To efficiently and economically retrieve graphic information and character information of a medium quantity by interlocking the retrieval of bibliographic information by a computer and the extraction of documents stored in a file. CONSTITUTION : An information retrieval device 1 fetches information on a bibliographic items from a magnetic recording device 12 into an arithmetic unit 13 based on the instruction of a keyboard 11 and retrieves an objective real estate property. The result is displayed in a display device 14. If the result agrees to a purpose, the keyboard 11 instructs a file retrieval device 22 to operate through a filing selection circuit 21 in a filing device 2, and the file which is suited to real estate property information that the information retrieval device 1 retrieves can automatically be taken out.
