The estate car has a net (10) mounted on a frame (9) to separate the luggage space from the passenger space. The frame (9) slides vertically in guides (15) fixed to the rear surface of the backrest of the rear seat. When in use the frame is extended upwards to the car roof. When not in use the frame is slid downwards and lies against the rear surface of the backrest. When in its upper position the frame prevents articles of luggage being thrown forwards in the event of violent braking. USE/ADVANTAGE - Sepn. of luggage space from passenger space and protecting passengers from unsecured luggage.
