An estate car has a partition (7) to separate the luggage space (4) from the passenger space (1). The partition has its lower edge hinged to the upper edge of the backrest (6) of the rear seat. The upper edge of the partition has an attachment which can slide on a guide rail fixed to the car roof. When not in use the partition can be swung downwards through 180 deg. and fastened to the rear surface of the seat backrest. The partition can be moved along the guide rail and fastened to the back of the front seat when the rear seat is folded down. USE/ADVANTAGE - Sepn. of luggage space from passenger space when rear seat is in use or is folded.
