PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To decrease inter-symbol interference while lessening the intricacy of circuit configuration and reducing the consumption of electric power and the real estate of chips, by providing the inside of a signal processing channel with a preliminary shaping filter and a judgement feedback filter. SOLUTION : The signal processing channel of this device has the preliminary shaping filter 42 which sharpens the leading edges of data codes and provides the trailing edges approximated to an attenuation index curve. The output W(t) of the preliminary shaping filter 42 is combined with the cancel output Y(t) from a resistance and capacitance circuit having a time constant so selected as to provide the pulse response complementing the exponentially attenuating trailing edges. The combination of the shaping output W(t) and the cancel output Y(t) is inputted to a judgement device 44. The two-level output X(t) from the judgement device is inputted to the judgement feedback filter 60 which generates the cancel output Y(t). This judgement feedback filter 60 has a delay element 64 which adequately matches with the timings of the shaping output W(t) from the preliminary shaping filter 42 and the cancel output Y(t) in addition to the circuit of the resistor 66 and the capacitor 68.
