PURPOSE : A system for searching/connecting personal information and a method for operating thereof are provided to enable a user to search wanted information by selecting a specific item, searching a specific person, and connecting to the searched person directly or indirectly using a personal database.CONSTITUTION : An operator server computer(20) is connected to a plurality of users through an internet network(12) using a personal computer(12). A control unit(22) of a server computer(20) generally controls devices of the server computer(20) and generates a control signal for performing specific functions in accordance with signals inputted through PCs of the users. A search unit(24) stores a program for a search and is operated in accordance with the control signal of the control unit(22) and generates a driving signal for a search. A personal information database(30) classifies and stores personal information of members registered based on the control of the control unit(22) according to the corresponding items. The personal information database(30) comprises a personal station database(31), a job hunting database(32), a real estate database(33), a commodity database(34), a service database(35), and a searching person database(36).
