SOLUTION : This information providing device is provided with a map information storage means for storing map information, a traffic information storage means storing public transport information on transport facilities included in the area shown by the map information, a spot designating means for designating a certain spot, a required time setting means for setting time required for moving from the spot, a movable area calculating means for calculating an area movable from the spot within the required moving time on the basis of the spot designated by the spot designating means, the required moving time set by the required time setting means and the public transport information stored in the traffic information storage means, and a movable area display means for displaying the movable area on a map.
