A system for creating a database of TV schedule information using a two-step process. First a database ofTV shows is created without reference to when such events may be aired or on what channel. Then these events are assembled into a sequence based on observation and research. This is useful for creating a TV schedule without copying another published schedule. This invention can also be used for many other purposes, for example to create a database of real-estate sales including descriptions of the property, location and sale price.
