PURPOSE : A system and a method for calculating real estate index based on the network are provided to calculate an objective/reliable index by collecting real estate information in the wired/wireless network, and agreeing target ranges of total apartment price of a reference time point and a compared time point through a compensation process.CONSTITUTION : A database server(20) classifies/stores customer information and real estate information of each region. An operator server(10) authenticates a customer terminal(5) by receiving a service request signal from the customer terminal, periodically extracts the real estate information for the region selected from the database server, calculates a plurality of real estate indexes through a total price type index calculating module, and provides the indexes to the customer terminal. The total price type index calculating module calculates the index by dividing a compared total real estate price of a current time point into a new reference total real estate price for keeping continuity and representing a result value as percents in case that a dislocation occurs in the price.?
