In order to further automate the generally subjective valuation of real estate, a method for calculating a final price of a subject real estate property includes receiving data sets representing comparable real estate properties. The data sets each include data for a price of a comparable real estate property and at least one criterion characterizing the comparable real estate property. The method also includes adjusting each of the comparable prices as a function of the at least one criterion for the corresponding comparable real estate property and the at least one criterion for the subject real estate property. The method includes calculating weighted scores for the respective comparable real estate properties that each represents a degree of comparability between a corresponding comparable real estate property and the subject real estate property. The final price of the subject real estate property is calculated based on the adjusted comparable prices and the weighted scores.
