Good real estate agents will commit a consistent amount of their time to prospecting - which often is a tedious exercise. Prospecting is the lifeblood of any real estate agent' s career. The true essence of prospecting is relationship building. Trust is what drives the real estate market. Prospecting is, however, a long term process which is highly rewarding but only if done consistently and often laboriously.
