The system, which allows two elements to be assembled, includes, on the one hand, on each element 1 and 2, a row of turns 3 and 4 or loops along the assembling line, on the other hand, an elongate locking component 5 which is inserted into the imbricated turns 3 and 4. The elongate component 5 can be screwed; it can be made of a cable, a rod, a tube. The turns may form part of spirals or meshes. The assembly may also be locked by inserting a paste or a liquid which is cured. Applications : motor vehicle, aeronautical constructions etc., fastening numerous protective, planking, components; real estate construction : connections of walls, ceilings, with locking using cement, installation of tiling, fastening tiles etc., fastening carpets (flooring), wall fabrics; various mechanical constructions; assembling fabrics.
