Geometry of the rod and at least the first and second bends is configured to lead to transverse displacement of the rod perpendicular to the rod during ultrasonic torsional vibrations of the tip, which is less than 5–25?% of the transverse displacement in the distal end point of the tip, over the portion of the rod which extends from proximal end of rod to first bend of cutting edge section.
