Provided are the uses of a sulfoxide compound for preparing a preventive drug for head and neck cancers to be administered to humans receiving radiotherapy so as to avoid radiation-induced nervous system diseases. The uses of said sulfoxide compound for preventing humans having head and neck cancers to suffer from radiation-induced nervous system diseases exhibits an excellent effect.
