The present invention discloses a method for separating isopropanol from a mixture formed after reaction of isopropyl acetate and lower alcohol; the method comprises : feeding the mixture formed after reaction of isopropyl acetate and lower alcohol into a crude isopropanol tower to be preliminarily separated to obtain crude isopropanol mainly comprising isopropanol, isopropyl acetate, and methanol/ethanol; then feeding the crude isopropanol into an isopropanol refining tower to be sufficiently refined and separated to finally obtain isopropanol having a purity greater than or equal to 99.9 wt %. The method according to the present invention has simple process procedure, low separation energy consumption and high product purity. And besides, the invention further discloses a separating device applicable to the described method; and the device has a simple structure and lower investment.
