Disclosed are a method for extracting and purifying coenzyme Q10 and coenzyme Q10 prepared thereby. The method extracts and purifies coenzyme Q10 from coenzyme Q10 bacteria and comprises the steps of extracting, precipitating, decoloring, and chromatographic refining, thereby targetedly removing impurities, such as bacterial pigments, nonpolar lipids, neutral lipids, polar lipids, and quinone homologs. The method has simple operation steps and less product loss. The purity of the product coenzyme Q10 thereof can be more than 99.8%, and the total yield can be more than 98.5%.
