The method for producing colored glass for pharmaceutical containers according to the present invention has a step for preparing a glass batch, a step for melting the glass batch to provide a glass melt, and a step for molding the glass melt to provide a molded glass, the method for producing colored glass for pharmaceutical containers being characterized by adding a reducing agent to the glass batch and preparing a glass batch so as to provide glass that contains, as the glass composition in mass%, 65%-75% SiO2, 0%-20% B2O3, 1%-10% Al2O3, 1%-10% R2O (wherein R is at least one of Li, Na, and K), 1%-5% R' O (wherein R' is at least one of Ca and Ba), 0.01%-5% Fe2O3, and 0.01%-5% TiO2 and satisfies the relation 1.00 ≤ [Fe2O3 (Fe2O3 content)] — [TiO2 (TiO2 content)] < 6.00.
