Then, a horizontal cut is performed along the base of the skull with the orbit bead and front 2/3 of its upper wall. That is followed by removing a portion of a large wing of the sphenoid bone and an anterolateral wall portion of the upper orbit. Thereafter, the dura mater is opened in an arch-like manner with the base downwards. Then the tumor is removed within healthy tissues, and the formed flap is put back into place and fixed by interrupted sutures and craniophixis.EFFECT : method allows increasing free space for manipulation of microinstruments, as well as increasing angles of attack, minimizing traction and iatrogenic effect on brain, minimizing hospital stay and preventing post-operative liquorrhea.1 cl, 8 dwg
